Do you have a go to motto?

"A fresh approach to timeless design with exclusive attention to detail."

What inspired you to join the world of design?

I am affected by the spaces that surround me and intrigued by what works and what leaves me flat. Being a people person and enjoying a lot of personal interaction, I thrive in the design environment where each day is different and each project has its own personality.

What is your favorite part of the design process?

When the project is complete and the client´s eyes light up in absolute amazement.

What´s your must-have when working with a client or on a project?

An open line of communication is foremost in any successful design project. Patience is another important element. I try to make my clients aware that each step in the design process is integral and it cannot happen overnight or in an hour time slot on HGTV.

What´s your favorite brain food?

Avocados, avocados and more avocados, oh and really good potato chips!

What is your favorite room of the house?

Today it is about creating a little jewelry box out of powder rooms. It gives me the opportunity to reflect the client´s little known affections and incorporate some unexpected design elements. However, tomorrow it might be an outdoor space where the sky is the limit, literally!

If you were a cocktail what would you be? Why?

I would definitely be a Titos martini up with a twist. Transparent, strong and it sneaks up on you!

If I wasn´t a designer I would be. . .

It wouldn´t be a big stretch, but I would have liked to be a graphic designer. It seems that it would be a different approach to delving into people´s lives and what influences them. Either that or I could be someone who has to spend a lot of time on a beach, swimming with dolphins.

If I were to have a super power it would be?

I would like to be able to understand what teenagers and young adults are thinking or have the ability to text my dogs.

What separates Trend from Timeless?

Trends develop from the creative fields, such as fashion, cars, music etc. The current style is important, but a blatant reproduction of these trends, would simply become dated when the next cycle begins. However, elements of these trends can be selected and combined in an eclectic manner that acknowledges the era, but not used exclusively in the overall design. This gives a space a sense of timelessness.
